Nevenka Korica Sullivan
CASA Stateside Director
Nevenka Korica Sullivan received her M.A. in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language from American University in Cairo. Ms. Sullivan served as Director of CASA program in Cairo from 2006-2010, in which she also taught Arabic beginning in 1999. A native of Belgrade, Serbia, she earned her B.A. in Arabic and Turkish languages from the Department of Oriental Philology, University of Belgrade. Ms. Sullivan worked as a translator and news announcer in the Arabic service at Radio Yugoslavia. She is the co-author of Media Arabic: A Coursebook for Reading Arabic News (AUC Press, 2007), Umm Dunya (Egyptian Colloquial textbook, AUC press, 2012). Her professional interests include second language acquisition, pedagogy and curriculum development for higher levels of proficiency.
